I enjoy being a therapist because I am passionate about social justice and mental health issues and I often find that I learn from my clients as much as they grow from our work together. While I may have expertise on a wide variety of topics, you are the expert when it comes to your life. My goal is to empower you and help you tap into your own strength and wisdom, and provide you with an unconditionally supportive, safe space.
Clients describe me as warm, encouraging, and dedicated. I practice therapy in a way that is integrative - drawing from a variety of therapeutic orientations but most heavily from interpersonal and 3rd-wave cognitive behavioral therapies (including ACT and DBT). I work best with identity and relationship concerns (in individual or couples therapy), anxiety and mood difficulties, life transitions, trauma and grief, and clients who are eager to gain insight about themselves, better manage their emotions, and improve their relationships with others. My personal style is nurturing and collaborative, while also challenging you to become your best self.
When I’m not working, I enjoy cooking and baking, hiking, traveling, and spending time with loved ones.
