Dr. Lauren Patrusky

About me

I am a Pediatric Psychologist and Licensed School Psychologist who partners with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families to navigate emotional, behavioral, medical, and school-related challenges and build skills for lasting growth.

My clients describe me as warm, positive, and collaborative, with a calming presence. I believe therapy should be a supportive place where children and families feel understood, empowered, and engaged in treatment. I tailor therapy to each child’s unique strengths, interests, and developmental needs, using evidence-based approaches to build practical skills that support meaningful, lasting change.

With training in both pediatric and school psychology, I consider the medical, emotional, developmental, and educational factors that shape a child’s well-being. I have extensive experience supporting children and adolescents with gastrointestinal disorders, IBD, diabetes, chronic pain, cystic fibrosis, and other complex health conditions. I also help children and families navigate school-related challenges and accommodations, including 504 Plans and IEPs, and collaborate with schools and medical providers when helpful.

My treatment draws on evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, Exposure and Response Prevention, mindfulness-based interventions, and behavioral parent training.

Outside of the office, I enjoy fitness classes, traveling, and exploring new parks, restaurants, and coffee shops around Atlanta with my family and Goldendoodle, Teddy.
